PSS 07-38M-300-KIT - Maintenance Kit For 38 mm Shaft
The PSS 07-38M-300-KIT is an essential maintenance kit designed specifically for the PSS system, ensuring your equipment runs smoothly and remains in optimal condition. Regular inspection and maintenance of the components are crucial for longevity and efficiency.
As with any rubber or silicone hose located below the waterline, it's vital to regularly inspect the PSS bellows for signs of wear, aging, or chemical damage. PSS recommends inspecting the bellows every six years. When replacing the bellows, it's also important to replace the O-rings and set screws, as well as the hose clamps. All necessary components for these replacements are included in the PSS Maintenance Kit.
Maintenance Kit Contents:
- 1 Piece of Bellows
- 2 Pieces of Nitrile O-Rings
- 5 Pieces of Screws
- 4 Pieces of Hose Clamps
- 1 Tube of Thread Lock
- 1 Allen Key
Important Notes:
- The bellows should be inspected more frequently in environments where non-sealed batteries are present, as sulfuric acid vapors can accelerate deterioration of the rubber, along with ozone exposure.
- The lock screw should only be used once. Each of the two holes in the stainless steel rotor is secured with two retaining screws. One locking screw secures the rotor to the shaft, while the second serves as a backup. The locking screw features a lace wreath at its base, which is pressed into the shaft to ensure a secure grip.
