Inspections should be conducted frequently to check for wear, aging, or any chemical damage that might affect the rubber or silicone components.

PSS recommends replacing the bellows every six years. The maintenance process should also include the replacement of O-rings, set screws, and hose clamps. This kit includes all the necessary components to facilitate a comprehensive maintenance check.

Important Notes:
- The bellows may require more frequent inspections in environments with non-sealed batteries, due to potential exposure to sulfuric acid fumes which can accelerate deterioration. Ozone presence can also contribute to damage.
- Use each lock screw only once. There are two holes in the stainless steel rotor where the screws should be installed; one locking screw secures the rotor to the shaft, while the second screw serves as a backup. The locking screw features a lace wreath at its base, which is pressed into the shaft for a secure fit.
