The PSS PRO Dripless Shaft Seal is engineered for exceptional performance and reliability in a variety of marine applications. Featuring advanced sealing technology, this innovative product ensures that your vessel operates smoothly and efficiently.

The PYI PSS PRO Shaft Seal incorporates durable stainless steel and carbon sealing components along with a robust silicone bellow, a secondary shaft retention collar, 316 stainless steel hose clamps, and an optional Nitronic 50 rotor component upgrade, making it ideal for use in harsh, corrosive environments. Unlike the PSS Type A Seal, the PRO model enhances the PSS Shaft Seal line with its commercial focus.

Functionality
- Two nitrile o-rings create a secure seal between the stainless steel rotor and shaft, ensuring no wear occurs.
- Both a primary set screw and a backup set screw (two sets total) fasten the stainless steel rotor to the shaft.
- A seal is formed between the carbon stator and the stainless steel rotor's mating faces.
- Raw water feeds into the PSS Shaft Seal, providing cooling and lubrication for the seal faces, especially in high-speed scenarios.
- The stationary carbon stator connects to the bellow, which is then anchored to the stern tube (shaft log).
- The Shaft Retention Collar secures the shaft, maintaining connection to the propeller or rudder shaft, even in cases of a catastrophic coupling failure.
- Stainless steel rings reinforce the bellow, enhancing strength and durability, with external rings standard for sizes 2-1/4" (60mm) to 3-3/4" (95mm) and available for smaller sizes.
- Equipped with 316 stainless steel hose clamps featuring rolled edges and non-perforated bands for safety and efficiency.
