The PSS 03-60M-434 PRO Dripless Shaft Seal is engineered for superior performance and reliability in various applications. This advanced sealing solution incorporates high-quality materials and innovative design to provide a robust, dripless mechanical seal that ensures the longevity of your vessel's components.

Featuring stainless steel and carbon sealing elements, the PSS PRO Shaft Seal includes a reinforced silicone bellow and a secondary shaft retention collar for enhanced security. Upgraded options such as the Nitronic 50 rotor component are available for environments that demand high corrosion resistance. This seal does not replace the PSS Type A Seal; rather, it complements the range with its commercial-grade design.

How it Works:

• Two nitrile o-rings effectively seal the stainless steel rotor to the shaft, preventing wear over time.
• Primary and backup set screws (two sets) secure the stainless steel rotor to the shaft.
• A leak-proof seal is established between the carbon stator and stainless steel rotor faces.
• Raw water is introduced to the PSS Shaft Seal to cool and lubricate the seal faces, particularly in high-speed applications.
• The stationary carbon stator is fastened to the bellow, which itself is secured to the stern tube (shaft log).
• The Shaft Retention Collar attaches to the shaft, keeping the propeller or rudder shaft in place during catastrophic failures or disconnections.
• Stainless steel reinforcement rings are fitted to the bellow for solid support and increased durability; external rings are standard on sizes ranging from 2-1/4" (60mm) to 3-3/4" (95mm) and optional for smaller sizes.
• 316SS hose clamps, equipped with rolled edges and a non-perforated band, provide reliable fastening, along with hose clamp tail protection and clamp jackets.
