The PSS 03-60M-334 PRO Dripless Shaft Seal is engineered for exceptional performance in demanding marine environments. Featuring a mechanical face seal design, it utilizes robust stainless steel and carbon sealing components enhanced with a reinforced silicone bellows for added durability. This model incorporates a secondary shaft retention collar and 316 stainless steel hose clamps, ensuring a secure and reliable connection. For those operating in highly corrosive conditions, an optional Nitronic 50 rotor upgrade is available.

Designed for use in challenging settings requiring high durability and resistance to harsh conditions, the PSS PRO Shaft Seal is suitable for a range of applications. The seal is formed between the flat surfaces of the rotating stainless steel rotor and the stationary carbon flange, which is securely attached to a heavy-duty silicone bellows on the vessel's stern tube. This construction allows for consistent contact between mating surfaces, accommodating axial movement from propeller thrust.

Furthermore, the over-bored carbon flange 'floats' around the shaft, compensating for misalignment and vibrations in the drivetrain. The stainless steel rotor is sealed to the shaft using two O-rings, which rotate with the shaft, eliminating wear during operation.
