The PSS 03-200-314 PRO Dripless Shaft Seal is a high-performance mechanical face seal designed for demanding environments. It features stainless steel and carbon sealing components, reinforced silicone bellows, a secondary shaft retention collar, and durable 316 stainless steel hose clamps. An optional Nitronic 50 rotor upgrade is available for highly corrosive applications, ensuring long-lasting durability and resistance in harsh conditions.

This specialized seal is ideal for a variety of applications, leveraging its mechanical face seal design. It utilizes a rotating stainless steel rotor and a stationary carbon flange to create a reliable sealing surface. The flange is attached to a heavy-duty silicone bellows, secured with 316 stainless steel hose clamps. The rotor compresses the bellows to maintain constant contact between the two sealing surfaces, accommodating axial movement caused by propeller thrust. Furthermore, the carbon flange is designed to "float" around the shaft, compensating for misalignment and vibration in the drive-line. The stainless steel rotor is sealed to the shaft with two O-rings recessed into its bore, which rotate with the shaft, minimizing wear during operation.
