The PSS 02-95M-534 Dripless Shaft Seal is designed to provide reliable sealing for your marine propulsion system. This innovative product combines durability and precision engineering, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.

The PSS Shaft Seal features a mechanical face seal created between the flat surfaces of a rotating stainless-steel rotor and a stationary carbon flange. The carbon flange, securely attached to the bellows with hose clamps, fits snugly over the stern tube, also secured with clamps. The rotor, positioned on the shaft, compresses the bellows before attachment with set screws, maintaining consistent contact between the rotor and flange. This compression enables the seal to adapt to fore and aft movement caused by propeller thrust.

Additionally, the carbon flange is over-bored to the shaft diameter, allowing it to float around the shaft to accommodate misalignment and vibration. The stainless-steel rotor is fitted with two O-rings recessed in the collar's bore, ensuring a secure seal while allowing the rotor to rotate without wear during operation.
