The PSS 02-75M-512 Dripless Shaft Seal is an advanced mechanical face seal designed for reliable performance in marine applications. This innovative product ensures a secure seal between the rotating stainless-steel rotor and the stationary carbon flange, providing exceptional durability and protection against water ingress.

The sealing mechanism features a stainless-steel rotor that is positioned in front of a carbon flange, which is securely attached to the bellows with hose clamps. The back side of the bellows is fitted over the stern tube, enhancing the seal's integrity. The rotor compresses the bellows, establishing a pre-load that maintains constant contact between the rotor and flange, effectively compensating for any forward and backward movement caused by propeller thrust. Additionally, the carbon flange is designed to float around the shaft, accommodating misalignment and vibration issues.

The design includes two O-rings recessed into the collar's bore, ensuring a tight seal that rotates with the shaft while minimizing wear. This makes the PSS 02-75M-512 a reliable choice for high-performance marine environments.
