The PSS 02-75M-412 Dripless Shaft Seal is an innovative solution designed to ensure a reliable seal in marine applications. With its robust construction and advanced technology, it effectively prevents leaks and protects your vessel's integrity.

The Type A PSS Shaft Seal operates as a mechanical face seal, utilizing the interface between the smooth surfaces of a rotating stainless-steel rotor and a stationary carbon flange. The carbon flange is securely attached to the bellows' front side with hose clamps, while the rear end fits snugly over the stern tube, also held in place by hose clamps. The rotor compresses the bellows, ensuring a tight seal that accommodates the dynamic movements caused by propeller thrust. This pre-loading maintains consistent contact between the rotor and flange, allowing for flexibility in alignment and vibration compensation. The carbon flange is designed to float around the shaft, further enhancing its ability to handle misalignment. Sealing is achieved through two O-rings that are recessed into the collar, which rotate with the shaft, eliminating wear during operation.
