The PSS 02-75M-400 is an advanced dripless shaft seal designed for optimal performance in marine environments. This innovative seal employs a mechanical face design that ensures a reliable barrier against water ingress, enhancing the longevity and efficiency of your vessel's drive system.

The Type A PSS Shaft Seal features a unique sealing mechanism where the stainless-steel rotor rotates against a stationary carbon flange. This design allows for a secure fit, with the carbon flange attached to the bellows via hose clamps, while the stern tube is also clamped for stability. The rotor is mounted on the shaft, compressing the bellows to maintain consistent contact between the rotor and flange. This pre-load action enables the seal to adapt to the natural fore and aft movements caused by propeller thrust.

Additionally, the carbon flange is engineered to accommodate misalignments and vibrations by allowing it to "float" around the shaft. The stainless-steel rotor is secured with set screws and features dual O-rings that rotate with the shaft, minimizing wear and ensuring durability over time.
