The PSS 02-60M-434 Dripless Shaft Seal is engineered for optimal performance in marine applications, ensuring reliable sealing and minimal maintenance. This innovative product utilizes a mechanical face seal design that enhances durability and efficiency.

The Type A PSS Shaft Seal features a unique sealing mechanism between a rotating stainless-steel rotor and a stationary carbon flange. The carbon flange is securely attached to the front of the bellows using hose clamps, while the bellows itself is fitted over the stern tube and also secured in place. The rotor, mounted on the shaft, compresses the bellows to create a pre-load that maintains consistent contact with the carbon flange. This design effectively accommodates any axial movement caused by propeller thrust.

Additionally, the carbon flange is designed to float around the shaft, mitigating misalignment and vibration issues. The stainless-steel rotor is sealed to the shaft via two O-rings, which rotate with the assembly and resist wear over time, ensuring longevity and reliability.
