The PSS 02-514-634 Dripless Shaft Seal is designed to provide a reliable and efficient sealing solution for stern tubes. This mechanical face seal features a robust design with a stainless-steel rotor and a stationary carbon flange, ensuring a tight seal that accommodates various operational conditions.
- Type: Mechanical face seal
- Sealing Surface: Stainless-steel rotor and stationary carbon flange
- Attachment: Carbon flange is attached with hose clamps; bellows fits over the stern tube and is secured with hose clamps
- Compression: Stainless-steel rotor compresses the bellows, maintaining constant contact between rotor and flange
- Misalignment Compensation: Carbon flange over-bored to shaft diameter to allow floating and compensate for misalignment and vibration
- Sealing: Two O-rings seal the rotor to the shaft, rotating with the shaft and rotor without wear
