The PSS 02-434-712 Dripless Shaft Seal is expertly designed for marine applications, ensuring a reliable and leak-free connection between the shaft and stern tube. This innovative product features a mechanical face seal that effectively manages the challenges posed by propeller thrust and misalignment.

The Type B PSS Shaft Seal utilizes a flat sealing surface formed between a stainless-steel rotor and a stationary carbon flange. The carbon flange, securely attached to the bellows with hose clamps, allows for significant flexibility and compensation for fore and aft movements. The stainless-steel rotor, mounted on the shaft, compresses the bellows, maintaining constant contact between the rotor and flange. This pre-load feature enhances the seal's ability to adapt to varying operational conditions.

Designed for durability, the carbon flange is over-bored to accommodate the shaft diameter, which helps mitigate misalignment and vibration issues. Additionally, the stainless-steel rotor is sealed to the shaft using two O-rings, which rotate with the shaft and rotor, ensuring minimal wear over time.
