The PSS 02-35M-134 Dripless Shaft Seal is engineered for reliable performance, ensuring a watertight seal around the stern tube. This innovative design features a mechanical face seal that utilizes a stainless-steel rotor and a stationary carbon flange, creating a robust sealing surface. The carbon flange, secured with hose clamps to the bellows, allows for flexibility and adaptation to misalignments and vibrations, providing superior durability and efficiency.

As the stainless-steel rotor compresses the bellows, it maintains consistent contact with the carbon flange, accommodating variable movement caused by propeller thrust. The O-rings embedded in the collar's bore seal the rotor to the shaft, rotating together and preventing wear during operation.
