The PSS 02-358-512 Dripless Shaft Seal is a high-performance solution designed to provide a reliable and maintenance-free seal for stern tubes and shafts. This mechanical face seal ensures a leak-proof connection and can accommodate the variable movement of the propeller thrust.
- Type: A PSS Shaft Seal - Mechanical face seal
- Sealing Mechanism: Sealing surface between rotating stainless-steel rotor and stationary carbon flange
- Mounting: Carbon flange attached to the bellows with hose clamps; bellows secured over the stern tube
- Compression: Stainless-steel rotor compresses the bellows to maintain contact between rotor and flange
- Misalignment Compensation: Carbon flange over-bored for shaft “floating” to address misalignment and vibration
- Sealing: Rotor sealed to the shaft by two O-rings which rotate with the shaft and rotor, ensuring no wear
