The PSS 02-334-612 Dripless Shaft Seal is engineered for optimal performance and reliability in marine applications. This innovative product features a robust mechanical face seal that ensures a tight seal between the stainless-steel rotor and the carbon flange, effectively preventing leaks.

The Type A PSS Shaft Seal utilizes a unique design where the stationary carbon flange is securely attached to the bellows with hose clamps, while the back of the bellows fits snugly over the stern tube. The stainless-steel rotor is mounted on the shaft and compresses the bellows, creating a pre-load that maintains consistent contact with the carbon flange. This design allows the seal to accommodate variable movement caused by propeller thrust.

Additionally, the carbon flange is specifically over-bored to the shaft diameter, enabling it to float and adapt to misalignments and vibrations. The rotor is sealed to the shaft with two O-rings, which rotate with the rotor, ensuring minimal wear during operation.
