The PSS 02-300-534 Dripless Shaft Seal is engineered for efficiency and reliability in marine applications. This innovative product ensures a tight seal around your shaft, preventing leaks and maintaining optimal performance.

The Type A PSS Shaft Seal features a mechanical face seal that consists of a rotating stainless-steel rotor and a stationary carbon flange. The stationary flange is securely attached to the front of the bellow using hose clamps, while the other end fits snugly over the Stern tube, also secured with clamps. The rotor compresses the bellows into constant contact with the carbon flange, allowing the assembly to adapt to any fore and aft movements caused by propeller thrust. The carbon flange's over-bored design enables it to "float" around the shaft, effectively handling most misalignment and vibration issues. Two O-rings recessed into the collar of the stainless-steel rotor ensure a gas-tight seal against the shaft, rotating with it and preventing wear during operation.
