The PSS 02-300-412 Dripless Shaft Seal is a high-performance mechanical face seal designed for marine applications. This shaft seal features a robust construction that ensures reliable operation and durability in harsh conditions.
- Type: Mechanical face seal
- Sealing Surface: Stainless-steel rotor and stationary carbon flange
- Attachment: Carbon flange attached with hose clamps, bellows secured over the Stern tube with hose clamps
- Compression: Rotor compresses the bellows, maintaining constant contact between the rotor and carbon flange
- Compensation: Accommodates fore and aft movement due to propeller thrust, misalignment, and vibration
- Sealing: Two O-rings in the collar’s bore seal the stainless-steel rotor to the shaft
