The PSS 02-28M-200 Dripless Shaft Seal is designed for reliable and maintenance-free performance in demanding marine environments. This mechanical face seal ensures a leak-proof barrier between the shaft and stern tube, accommodating variable movements and misalignment issues.
- Type: Mechanical face seal
- Sealing Mechanism: Rotating stainless-steel rotor and stationary carbon flange
- Construction: The carbon flange is attached to the bellows with hose clamps, and the bellows fit over the stern tube and are secured with hose clamps.
- Compression: Stainless-steel rotor compresses the bellows to maintain constant contact with the carbon flange
- Misalignment Compensation: Carbon flange allows for floating around the shaft to address misalignment and vibration
- O-Ring Seals: Two O-rings in the collar's bore seal the rotor to the shaft without wear during operation
- Temperature Limits: 5°F to 225°F (-15°C to 107°C)
- Pressure Limits: 15 PSI (1 BAR)
