The PSS 02-25M-212 Dripless Shaft Seal is a high-quality mechanical face seal designed to ensure a secure and leak-free seal between your shaft and stern tube. Featuring a stainless-steel rotor and a stationary carbon flange, this shaft seal offers excellent durability and performance even in demanding conditions.

• Type: Mechanical face seal
• Sealing Mechanism: The sealing surface is created between the flat surfaces of the rotating stainless-steel rotor and the stationary carbon flange.
• Installation: The carbon flange is attached to the front side of the bellows with hose clamps, and the back end of the bellows fits over the stern tube and is secured with hose clamps.
• Compression: The stainless-steel rotor compresses the bellows to maintain constant contact between the rotor and carbon flange, allowing compensation for variable fore and aft movement due to propeller thrust.
• Misalignment Compensation: The carbon flange is over-bored to the shaft diameter, allowing it to “float” around the shaft and compensate for misalignment and vibration.
• Sealing: The rotor is sealed to the shaft with two O-rings that rotate with the shaft and do not experience wear during operation.
