The PSS 02-25M-134 Dripless Shaft Seal is designed to provide a reliable and maintenance-free sealing solution for stern tubes. It utilizes a mechanical face seal to ensure a tight seal and prevent leaks, even under varying operational conditions.
- Type: Mechanical face seal
- Sealing Surface: Stainless-steel rotor and stationary carbon flange
- Installation: Carbon flange attached to the bellows with hose clamps; bellows fits over stern tube and is secured with hose clamps
- Compression: Stainless-steel rotor compresses the bellows, ensuring constant contact between rotor and carbon flange
- Misalignment Compensation: Carbon flange allows for “floating” to accommodate shaft misalignment and vibration
- Sealing: Two O-rings recessed into the collar’s bore seal the rotor to the shaft without experiencing wear
