The PSS 02-214-312 Dripless Shaft Seal is designed to provide a reliable seal for your stern tube, ensuring optimal performance and durability. This mechanical face seal features a unique design that accommodates the dynamic movements of your vessel.

The Type A PSS Shaft Seal consists of a stainless-steel rotor and a stationary carbon flange that create a sealing surface. The carbon flange is securely attached to the bellows, which fits over the stern tube and is held in place with hose clamps. The rotor, mounted on the shaft, compresses the bellows to maintain constant contact between the rotor and the carbon flange, effectively compensating for any fore and aft movement caused by propeller thrust.

Designed for flexibility, the over-bored carbon flange allows for floating around the shaft, mitigating misalignment and vibration issues. The rotor is sealed to the shaft using two O-rings, which rotate with the shaft and do not wear out during operation. This innovative design ensures a long-lasting, leak-free performance.
