The PSS 02-212-334 is a high-performance dripless shaft seal designed for marine applications. This innovative seal utilizes a mechanical face design that ensures optimal sealing between the stainless-steel rotor and the stationary carbon flange. The carbon flange is securely attached to the bellows, which connects to the stern tube, providing a robust and reliable solution for shaft sealing.

The stainless-steel rotor compresses the bellows before being secured to the shaft, creating a pre-load that maintains constant contact between the rotor and carbon flange. This feature allows the seal to effectively accommodate any fore and aft movement caused by propeller thrust. Additionally, the carbon flange is designed to float around the shaft, addressing most misalignment and vibration issues. The O-rings that seal the rotor to the shaft rotate with the assembly, ensuring minimal wear during operation.
