The PSS 02-130M-858 is a state-of-the-art dripless shaft seal designed to provide reliable performance in marine applications. Engineered with precision, this mechanical face seal ensures a tight seal between the stainless-steel rotor and the stationary carbon flange, effectively preventing leaks and maintaining optimal functionality.

Featuring a stationary carbon flange secured to the bellow with hose clamps, the back end fits snugly over the stern tube, ensuring a secure installation. The stainless-steel rotor compresses the bellow, creating a pre-load that maintains constant contact between the rotor and flange. This design allows the PSS to adapt to variations in fore and aft movement caused by propeller thrust, while the over-bored carbon flange accommodates shaft misalignment and vibration.

The stainless-steel rotor is sealed with two recessed O-rings that rotate with the shaft, minimizing wear during operation. This innovative design enhances durability and reliability, making it suitable for demanding marine environments.
