The PSS 02-130M-634 Dripless Shaft Seal is engineered for reliable performance in marine applications. This innovative seal utilizes a mechanical face design that ensures a leak-free operation, essential for maintaining the integrity of your vessel.

The Type B PSS Shaft Seal features a unique sealing mechanism where the flat surfaces of a rotating stainless-steel rotor meet a stationary carbon flange. The carbon flange is securely attached to the front of the bellow, which fits snugly over the stern tube, providing a robust seal. The stainless-steel rotor is designed to compress the bellow, ensuring constant contact with the carbon flange, which is critical for accommodating variations in propeller thrust.

The carbon flange's over-bored design allows it to "float" around the shaft, effectively compensating for misalignment and vibrations. This results in enhanced durability and longevity, as the rotor is sealed to the shaft using two O-rings that rotate with the assembly, minimizing wear during operation.
