The PSS 02-120M-734 is a high-performance mechanical face seal designed for marine applications. This innovative seal ensures reliable operation while accommodating the dynamic movement of the propeller shaft.

The Type B PSS Shaft Seal features a unique sealing mechanism where a rotating stainless-steel rotor interacts with a stationary carbon flange. The carbon flange is securely attached to the bellow, which is clamped onto the stern tube. The rotor compresses the bellow, maintaining consistent contact between the flat surfaces of the rotor and flange. This design allows the seal to effectively manage the variable movements caused by propeller thrust.

Notably, the carbon flange is engineered to float around the shaft diameter, enabling it to adjust to misalignments and vibrations. The stainless-steel rotor is fitted with two O-rings that rotate with the shaft, ensuring minimal wear during operation.
