Kobelt 5021-S - Spring Applied Brake Caliper, 2" Disc, Clamping Force 9160 lbf, Hydraulic or Air Applications
The Kobelt 5021-S Spring Applied Brake Caliper is a powerful and reliable braking solution designed for heavy-duty applications. Constructed from durable die-cast silicon bronze with stainless steel hardware, this caliper is engineered to provide long-lasting performance, even in demanding environments. The 5021-S features a spring applied actuator that ensures the brake engages automatically when fluid pressure is removed, making it ideal for fail-safe braking situations. Available with a manual release screw option, this caliper can be easily released in the absence of fluid pressure.
Designed for use with Kobelt's 2" (51mm) ventilated discs, the 5021-S offers excellent braking power, with a maximum clamping force of 9160 lbf (40.7 kN) and a maximum disc thickness of 2" (51 mm). The brake lining area spans 60 sq. in. (387 sq. cm), with a lining thickness of 0.5 in. (12.7 mm). This caliper is ideal for a wide range of industrial applications, offering reliable performance and minimal maintenance. Several spring options are available to achieve different clamping forces, ensuring that this caliper can be customized to meet specific needs.
