Kobelt 7178 - Panoramic Rudder Angle Indicator, Analog Display, Rudder Feedback Unit
The Kobelt 7178 Panoramic Rudder Angle Indicator is a highly efficient and reliable analog display designed to show rudder angle positions. It receives signals from a Rudder Feedback Unit (RFU) or alternative signal sources like control levers, translating these signals into precise needle positions on the indicator. This indicator can be calibrated to match the physical rudder position or the position of the alternative signal source, providing flexibility in setup.
Featuring three scales for comprehensive viewing, the 7178 indicator provides an impressive 230-degree viewing angle from the vessel’s bridge. It is driven by position transducers such as the Kobelt 7163, 7168, or 7174 Rudder Feedback Units (RFU), ensuring precise and accurate readings. The indicator is designed with a rugged construction, built to withstand tough marine conditions, and it offers high durability with its IP20 ingress protection, vibration resistance, and a wide operational temperature range from -4°F to 131°F (-20°C to 55°C).
- Accurate Display: Displays rudder angle position using signals from Rudder Feedback Units or control levers.
- Wide Viewing Angle: Provides 230 degrees of visibility for easy monitoring from the vessel’s bridge.
- Flexible Calibration: Can be calibrated to correspond to physical rudder position or alternate signal sources.
- Durable Construction: Designed for marine environments with a polyester powder-coated exterior and textured black finish.
- Robust Electrical Specifications: Works with 12V DC or 24V DC inputs and features a maximum current of 750 mA or 590 mA, depending on the model.
