Kobelt 7174 - Rudder Angle Feedback Unit, Rudder Position Sensor, Marine Steering System Input
The Kobelt 7174 Rudder Angle Feedback Unit (RFU) is a highly reliable sensor designed to provide precise rudder angle position data for a wide range of marine and industrial applications. This unit can be configured with up to four potentiometers and two rudder end stop switches per side, making it an ideal input device for Full Follow Up (FFU) electronic steering systems, autopilots, and rudder angle indicators. As the rudder moves, it adjusts the internal potentiometer(s), allowing the unit to track the precise position of the rudder. The Kobelt 7174 is particularly suited for both marine steering applications and industrial installations, offering durability and reliability in challenging environments.
Constructed from robust die-cast bronze and stainless steel, the 7174 is designed to withstand the harsh conditions of marine and saltwater-exposed environments. Its weatherproof and corrosion-resistant design ensure it provides a long service life in both indoor and outdoor installations. With an operating temperature range of -25°C to 70°C, this unit is built to perform in extreme conditions. Additionally, it is equipped with high-performance switches, offering contact ratings of 250VAC/24VDC – 10A, and comes with flexible connection options, making it easy to integrate into various systems. Whether used for steering, autopilot control, or other marine applications, the Kobelt 7174 ensures smooth and accurate operation in any setting.
