The Kobelt 7173-K Electronic Full Follow-Up Amplifier is a versatile and highly efficient unit designed to coordinate the rudder position with feedback units in a variety of steering and hydraulic systems. This amplifier accepts command signals from Kobelt models 7165, 7166, 7167, 7169, 7171, 7175, and 7176, and synchronizes them with the feedback unit models 7168 and 7174. It works seamlessly with fluid flow control models 7144, 7145, and 7148, which are equipped with solenoid valves. When activated, these valves disperse hydraulic fluid to the hydraulic steering system, maintaining the desired rudder position.
The Model 7173-K can be installed anywhere on the vessel, even within the steering compartment, thanks to its watertight and corrosion-resistant enclosure that safeguards the internal electronics. This unit is available as a 12- or 24-volt DC multi-optional driver board and offers several configuration options, including control for single and dual-speed steering systems, two independent steering systems, or two hydraulic systems (such as steering and bucket control). Ideal for applications like catamaran steering with its electronic tie bar capability, the Model 7173-K is easy to change and maintain in the field, ensuring long-lasting performance and reliability in harsh marine environments.
