The Kobelt 7030 Side Mount Steering Cylinder is designed to provide reliable and long-lasting steering for outboard motors. It is specifically intended for attachment to the tilt tube with a 7/8” NF thread, and the cylinder rod passes through the tilt tube to be securely locked with a set screw. This ensures stable operation and prevents rotation during use. The cylinder is made from durable bronze and stainless steel with a hard-chromed piston rod, making it perfect for marine applications. When used with a Kobelt helm pump like the 7031, this steering cylinder offers exceptional performance. For those who require higher volume at fewer turns, the 7003 or 7005 helm pumps can be employed.
