The Kobelt 4204 Double Acting Self-Centering Actuator is a highly reliable and versatile cylinder used primarily for the control of marine hydraulic reverse reduction gears. Constructed with durable bronze and stainless steel, it offers long-lasting service in harsh marine environments. This actuator is pivot-mounted and spring-centered, providing a self-centering mechanism when no air pressure is applied. The 4204 offers either infinite or three-position control depending on the configuration chosen. When no air pressure is applied to the control ports, the output rod remains centered. By applying air pressure to either side of the cylinder, the piston rod moves accordingly, providing precise control. The actuator stroke is 1 inch in either direction, allowing for a total stroke of 2 inches. The 4204-A model provides infinite positioning for variable hydraulic delivery valves, while the 4204-C model offers a compact three-position control for marine applications.
