The Gori 2-blade folding propeller has a rich history, with the first production dating back over 25 years. Throughout its evolution, it has continually embraced modern manufacturing technology and testing possibilities to enhance its performance.

Specially designed for sailing yachts with engines up to approximately 44 kW/60 hp, this folding propeller is available in seven sizes ranging from 11.5” to 18” Ø for both shafts and sail drives, offering versatility for various marine applications. The propeller can be supplied in either clockwise or counter-clockwise versions to meet specific preferences.

One of the key features of the Gori 2-blade folding propeller is its wing synchronization, ensuring a harmonized wing movement that minimizes vibrations when driving both forwards and backward. This results in correct pitch setting and optimal conduction under motor power. When sailing, the wings fold automatically, reducing drag to a minimum and maximizing the yacht's performance.

Under sail, the Gori folding propeller excels by significantly reducing water resistance, as demonstrated by independent tests indicating up to a 35% decrease. This remarkable reduction translates to a speed increase of up to 1 knot, varying with boat length and displacement. The propeller achieves optimum reverse thrust through a combination of shape and profile design of the blades, coupled with centrifugal force. Unlike many other folding propellers, the Gori folding propeller doesn't solely rely on centrifugal force to open the wings.
