Centek 1020162 - 1.63" x 1.63" x 1.25" Gen-Sep Exhaust Gas/Water Separator
In addition to a muffler, the Centek Gen-Sep 1020162 is designed to further reduce the irritating genset exhaust noise, especially during dockside or overnight mooring.
The Gen-Sep is strategically installed downstream of a Vernalift muffler on generators or small propulsion engines. Its primary function is to separate wet exhaust water and gas outflows, resulting in a significant reduction in exhaust noise compared to using a muffler alone.
This innovative device eliminates the annoying periodic surging and water splashing commonly associated with wet exhaust systems, providing a quieter experience where the exhaust gas sounds similar to a home dryer.
The Gen-Sep must be mounted with its bottom positioned at least 12" - 18" above the waterline, and its top should not exceed 48" above the top of the Vernalift muffler. Each Gen-Sep unit is equipped with two Inlet/Gas Out ports and a single Water Out port for efficient operation.
