The Centek 1020150 Gen-Sep is a highly effective device designed to further reduce genset exhaust noise, particularly during dockside or overnight mooring. Installed downstream of a Vernalift muffler on generators or small propulsion engines, the Gen-Sep serves to separate wet exhaust water and gas outflows. This innovative solution significantly diminishes exhaust noise beyond the capabilities of a muffler alone, eliminating irritating periodic surging and water splashing commonly associated with wet exhausts. The result is an exhaust gas sound akin to a home dryer.

The Gen-Sep is strategically mounted with its bottom positioned at least 12" - 18" above the waterline, and its top no higher than 48" above the top of the Vernalift muffler. Each Gen-Sep features two Inlet/Gas Out ports and a single Water Out port, providing versatile installation options. Tailored for generators, the size is chosen based on matching the hose size from the muffler. Suitable for both gas and diesel fuel types, the Gen-Sep offers installation flexibility, accommodating placements above or below the waterline, close to the centerline.
