Innovative Genverter Technology

The Genverter© (Genverter) system combines the latest generation diesel engine technologies with a new method of generating electrical energy. Instead of a fixed-speed alternator mounted on the rear of the engine flywheel, this generator utilizes a compact permanent magnet alternator placed behind the engine. This design results in a more compact and lightweight unit compared to traditional generators.

Customer Benefits

The generator's output voltage is independent of RPM, allowing fixed generator revolutions to optimize the balance between power output, noise, and vibration. Typically, the optimal operational frequency is calculated at around 2300 rpm. The permanent magnet alternator shares the engine motor's cooling circuit, simplifying installation.

Additionally, the permanent magnet output can integrate into DC power grids. For instance, the DC PowerCube 24V/150A can connect directly to the Genverter, supplying current between 0 A to 150 A as needed (U = 24 V).

The Genverter GV "Basic" operates as a hybrid generator: it produces alternating current of up to 32 A at 230 V/50 Hz via a built-in converter unit with variable speed based on load. For enhanced power needs, the WPC Power Center can be added to convert and synchronize DC battery power to alternating current, automatically charging the batteries as necessary.
