The Victron Energy BAT412151084 is a 12V/165Ah AGM deep cycle battery. It utilizes VRLA (Valve Regulated Lead Acid) technology, meaning the battery cells are valve-controlled, allowing for safe operation and escape of gas in case of overcharging or cell error. These sealed (VRLA) AGM batteries have excellent leak resistance and can be used in any orientation. They are completely maintenance-free.

With AGM design, the electrolyte is absorbed by a capillary action in a fine glass fiber fleece, providing reliable performance. Victron VRLA batteries have low self-discharge rates, allowing them to be stored without charging for extended periods. The self-discharge rate is less than 2% per month at 20°C and doubles for every 10°C rise in temperature. When stored in a cool place, they can be stored for up to a year without needing to be recharged.

These batteries also have excellent recovery behavior even after prolonged deep discharge. However, it is important to note that frequent and prolonged deep discharges can potentially cause irreversible damage to the batteries.

The nominal capacity of the Victron batteries refers to a discharge time of 20 hours, meaning the discharge current is 0.1 C. The AGM series from Victron has excellent behavior at high discharge currents, offering reliable power output. Please refer to the data sheet for more information.
