The VE.Direct LoRaWAN AU915-928 Module by Victron Energy offers a powerful remote monitoring solution for solar charge controllers, battery monitors, and inverters via the free Victron Remote Management (VRM) portal. Designed for use in Australia, New Zealand, and South America, it transmits hourly performance data over the AU915 LoRaWAN band using The Things Network (TTN) infrastructure—without subscriptions or SIM cards.

LED Status Codes:

• Blinking Blue: Searching for LoRaWAN connection
• Blinking Green: Connected to LoRaWAN and VE.Direct device
• Blinking Yellow: Connected to LoRaWAN, no VE.Direct device found
• Solid Red: Error; device will reboot

Coverage & Setup Notes:

• Public TTN gateways recommended; you may also deploy your own multichannel gateway
• AU915 supported; not compatible with AS923 frequency
• Up to 15 km range in rural conditions; approx. 2 km in urban areas
• Supports TTN Cluster: au1 for Australia

Important Limitations:

• Not compatible with SmartShunt or Peak Power Pack
• Only one VE.Direct device per module
• Cannot be used simultaneously with GX devices
• No remote configuration or firmware update functionality
