The VDO A2C59514177 is a high-quality coolant temperature gauge designed for precision monitoring of engine temperatures. This gauge is essential for ensuring optimal engine performance and preventing overheating.
Installation specifications include a hole diameter of 52 mm (2 1/16 inch) and an outside diameter of 59 mm (2 1/3 inch), with an installation depth of 50 mm. The locking height can be adjusted with a Spinlock nut from 0.5 mm to 20 mm, or with a bracket from 2 mm to 15 mm, with an optional flushmount kit available (A2C59510864).
Functionally, the gauge operates within a coolant temperature range of +105°F to +250°F and +40°C to +120°C. It utilizes a Veratron NTC Thermistor sensor with a resistance range of 287.4-22.7 Ohm, providing an accuracy of less than 3.6 angular degrees. The connection is made via a Hirschmann 8 pins MQS connector.
For power supply, the gauge operates on a voltage range of 10 to 32 Volt DC, with a current consumption of less than 140 mA, which includes a warning LED. It features reverse polarity protection for up to 5 minutes and short circuit protection for up to 1 minute, ensuring reliable and safe operation.
