The installation requires a hole diameter of 80 mm (3 1/8 inch) and an outside diameter of 85 mm (3 1/3 inch). The depth needed for installation is 91 mm. It offers flexible locking heights: 0.5 mm to 23 mm with the Spinlock nut and 0.5 mm to 12 mm with the bracket. Note that this model does not support flush mounting.
Functionally, the speedometer covers a speed range of 0 to 80 km/h. It includes both an odometer and a trip counter for tracking distance. The sensor types supported include RPM inductive sensor, RPM Hall sensor, and RPM blocking oscillator sensor. While the accuracy of the speedometer is not specified by VDO, it provides reliable performance.
Connections include an 8-pole AMP male blade connector (6.3 x 0.8 mm) for the main functionality and four additional AMP male blade connectors (6.3 x 0.8 mm) for illumination.
