The Simrad NAC-3 Autopilot Core Pack is a comprehensive package designed for rudder-steered boats over 10 meters (35 feet) in length. It includes the NAC-3 autopilot computer, RF25N rudder feedback unit, and Precision-9 solid-state compass. Additionally, all necessary cabling and connectors are provided to either build an NMEA 2000® network backbone or connect the autopilot system to an existing NMEA 2000® network.

One of the standout features of this pack is its compatibility with various drive systems. It can be used with high-current drive pumps like the Simrad RPU160 and RPU300, mechanical drives such as the Simrad DD15, hydraulic linear drives like the HLD2000 series, and solenoid valves.

For controlling the autopilot, users have multiple options. They can choose from a range of dedicated autopilot controllers or utilize their existing Simrad multifunction display. Those with dual-helm vessels can install extra autopilot stations, and the Simrad WR10 wireless remote is available for convenient steering and autopilot control from anywhere on board.

Installation and setup are made easy with industry-standard NMEA 2000® networking and NMEA 0183® input, ensuring reliable connectivity to sensors, autopilot controllers, and multifunction displays throughout the vessel. The system also features auto-tuning for simplified setup and optimal steering performance, while automatic compass calibration continuously enhances heading accuracy during travel.
