Samlex BS-140 - Battery Split Relay Dual
This dual battery relay is engineered to intelligently connect and isolate two batteries based on their voltage status. It ensures that the starter battery remains fully charged while allowing the secondary battery to be charged during operation.
- The device monitors the starter battery voltage and closes the switch when voltage reaches 13.2 V (26.4 V) for at least 7 seconds to charge the auxiliary battery.
- When voltage falls to 12.8 V (25.6 V) or below for 60 seconds or more, the relay disconnects the batteries to preserve starter battery charge.
- Automatically detects 12 or 24 volt battery systems.
- Continuous current rating of 140 A, with a peak current of 420 A.
- Power consumption is 1.5 mA off (12V/24V) and 360 mA on at 13.5V, 160 mA on at 27V.
- Minimum loading time is 60 seconds.
- Uses M6 and Faston 6.3mm battery connections.
- Supports battery cables up to 25mm² thickness.
- Fast out occurs if voltage drops below 11.8 V (23.6 V) after 4 seconds.
