An isolating relay is an ideal solution when you cannot or do not want to modify the wiring to the alternator but still need to charge a second battery group while the engine is running. This active charging relay is designed to detect when the alternator is running and the voltage increases, automatically connecting both battery groups together. In case the voltage drops below a certain threshold, the relay will separate the batteries to prevent unintentional discharging of the starter battery. It also features automatic metering and setup for 12V or 24V operation modes.
This isolating relay is suitable for battery groups with a capacity greater than 200 Ah and even includes an emergency start function that can be activated remotely via a button. Additionally, it can be used as an active load relay to activate specific loads only while the alternator is running.
