The Garmin MSC™ 10 GPS Marine Satellite Compass is a high-performance compass designed specifically for marine use. With its compact dimensions of 6.1” x 13.1” x 3.0” (155.5 x 333.6 x 76.2 mm) and lightweight design weighing only 28.6 oz (810 g), it is a versatile and reliable navigation tool.
Featuring a waterproof and durable case made of glue sealed, high-impact plastic alloy, this compass is built to withstand the toughest marine conditions. It is even certified to meet the IPX7 waterproof standard, ensuring its functionality even when exposed to water.
The Garmin MSC™ 10 GPS Marine Satellite Compass comes with a 19 ft 8 in (6 m) long cable, providing flexibility in installation. It operates in a wide temperature range, from 5° F to 158° F (-15° C to 70° C) in white and 5° F to 140° F (-15° C to 60° C) in black, making it suitable for various environments.
Powered by a 9-32 Vdc power source input, the compass consumes a low input current of 180 mA at 12 Vdc. It also has a NMEA 2000 Load Equivalency Number (LEN) of 6, allowing for a maximum current of 300 mA. This ensures efficient and reliable performance.
The Garmin MSC™ 10 GPS Marine Satellite Compass offers exceptional accuracy for positioning and heading. With a typical marine use position accuracy of less than 1 meter CEP and less than 3 meters with a 95% confidence level, you can rely on its precise measurements. The heading accuracy is also excellent, with only 2° RMS deviation. Additionally, it provides heave accuracy of 8 cm RMS, ensuring accurate readings even in challenging sea conditions.
