Garmin gWind, Wired Transducer
The Garmin gWind Wired Transducer is a high-performance device designed to accurately measure wind speed and angle. With its compact dimensions of 13.6" x 24" (345 mm x 610 mm) and lightweight construction weighing only 260 g, this transducer is easy to install and does not add unnecessary bulk to your boat.
Featuring a waterproof rating of IPX6¹, the Garmin gWind Wired Transducer is built to withstand harsh marine environments. It is equipped with a 25-meter long cable, allowing for flexible placement options on your vessel.
The Black Box Bridge GND10 is included with this transducer, providing seamless integration and compatibility with other Garmin marine electronics. It operates within a temperature range of 5°F to 158°F (-15°C to 70°C) and can be safely stored in temperatures ranging from -4°F to 176°F (-20°C to 80°C).
The voltage range of the Garmin gWind Wired Transducer is 9-16V, ensuring efficient power usage with a low power consumption of only 0.33W. It has a typical current draw of 28 mA at 12 VDC.
With its superior accuracy, the Garmin gWind Wired Transducer guarantees precise wind angle measurements with an accuracy angle better than ±1.5°. It also provides reliable wind speed measurements within a range of 0.8-90 knots (0.4-50 m/s), with a speed accuracy better than ±3%.
This transducer does not support wireless connectivity and does not have a NMEA 2000® Load Equivalency Number (LEN). However, its exceptional performance and durability make it an ideal choice for any boating enthusiast or professional.
