The Garmin GRID 20 can be powered through different methods. It supports NMEA 2000 power input, as well as wired power using the included power cable. When using the wired power option, the input power should be between 9-32 V dc, and it has a fuse of 1.0 Amp, Fast Blow. The maximum power usage at 9 V dc is 1.5 W, while the typical current draw at 12 V dc is 40 mA, with a maximum current draw of 120 mA.
Alternatively, the Garmin GRID 20 can also be powered by two AA batteries (not included), providing flexibility in its power source.
