Digital Yacht ZDIGHSC100T - HSC100 RED Fluxgate Compass Sensor
The Digital Yacht ZDIGHSC100T HSC100 RED Fluxgate Compass Sensor offers precise fluxgate compass heading data essential for marine navigation. Utilizing fluxgate technology, this marine compass delivers accurate heading data for various onboard systems. Its applications range from enabling course-up and true-motion displays on chart plotters to stabilizing radars during MARPA/ARPA target tracking. Integrated instrument systems benefit from its compass information, allowing real-time calculation of tidal set and drift when interfaced with a log and GPS.
Unlike most low-cost heading sensors that output data at 1Hz, the HSC100 provides data at 10Hz, necessary for MARPA target tracking and accurate radar overlays. The NMEA 2000 version includes the Digital Yacht iKonvert NMEA 2000 gateway for easy and flexible installation without cumbersome drop cables.
The HSC100T variant introduces a "Rate of Turn" feature, providing HDT and ROT messages required by Class A transponders. This offers a cost-effective solution for adding heading and rate of turn to Class A transponders for non-mandatory vessels.
