The Digital Yacht ZDIGGPS160USB GPS160 USB is a cutting-edge positioning sensor featuring TriNav™ technology, which utilizes GPS, Glonass, and Galileo satellite systems for exceptional accuracy and redundancy. With typical accuracy better than 3 ft and an output rate of up to 18Hz, it ensures smoother plotter track displays and robust positioning even in challenging environments.
The USB model comes with a 16 ft USB cable and powers itself from the USB source (PC, MAC, or Linux), creating a virtual COM port for navigation programs to receive positioning data. It offers various modes through field programming, including single GNSS operation and customizable output configurations.
Incorporating QuadNav technology, the GPS160USB supports Chinese Beidou satellites along with GPS, Glonass, and Galileo, providing improved time to first fix, robust operation against jamming and spoofing, and reduced power consumption. The device is equipped with a refined anti-spoofing algorithm for interference rejection and can be configured for specific GNSS systems.
Galileo:
Galileo, the new global navigation satellite system, enhances the GPS and GLONASS systems, offering mariners a reliable third positioning source. With 22 operational satellites and a total constellation of 30, Galileo ensures enhanced service provision and improved accuracy.
As of October 2023, all GPS160 models feature a new GNSS engine supporting QuadNav technology, incorporating Chinese Beidou satellites for optimal positioning and robustness against disruptions.
