Digital Yacht ZDIGGPS160 - GPS160 NMEA 0183
The Digital Yacht ZDIGGPS160 GPS160 NMEA 0183 antenna is equipped with TriNav™ technology, utilizing GPS, Glonass, and Galileo satellite systems to deliver exceptional position accuracy and redundancy, typically achieving better than 1m accuracy. With a configurable output rate of up to 18Hz, it ensures smoother plotter track displays. The device offers various operating modes and output configurations through field programming, including single GNSS operation and NMEA sentence structure adjustments.
The GPS160 supports multiple output options, including NMEA 0183 at programmable baud rates (4800, 38400, and 115200), as well as a USB variant for compatibility with PC, MAC, and Linux systems. For NMEA 2000 integration, a bundle with a Digital Yacht iKonvert NMEA 2000 gateway is available, simplifying installation without drop cables.
In addition, the GPS160 features support for external MOB (man-over-board) devices, triggering the creation of a synthesized AIS SART MOB message for quick identification on plotters. The device's QuadNav™ technology now includes Chinese Beidou satellites, enhancing performance against jamming and outages while improving time to first fix and reducing current consumption.
Galileo:
Galileo, the global navigation satellite system, joins GPS and GLONASS, offering mariners a reliable positioning source. With 22 operational satellites and a fully operational status as of 2020, Galileo enhances positioning accuracy and system reliability.
