The Digital Yacht ZDIGAISLG AIS Lifeguard is a groundbreaking Man Overboard AIS alarm system designed specifically to complement the new generation of AIS SARTs approved for global use by the IMO. Many existing AIS-compatible chart plotters lack full support for AIS SARTs, but by connecting the AIS Lifeguard to an AIS transponder or receiver, you can establish a comprehensive AIS SART man overboard system.

Operation is seamless and automatic. Simply connect the two-wire NMEA input on the AIS Lifeguard to the NMEA output of your AIS, and it will monitor all AIS traffic. Upon detecting an AIS SART transmission, the AIS Lifeguard triggers its internal 95dB alarm and illuminates a red warning light. For larger setups, you can link the AIS Lifeguard to an external alarm (not included), ensuring immediate alerting of the entire vessel.

The AIS Lifeguard is capable of detecting both message 1 and message 14, the AIS messages reserved for AIS SARTs, and it emits a short three-beep alarm upon detecting an AIS SART test message. This feature facilitates pre-voyage checks to ensure the proper functioning of your AIS SARTs. Compatibility is assured with all Digital Yacht AIS receivers and transponders, and the unit is designed to operate on 12v or 24v DC systems.
